Scott discovered comics in 1988 at Gerbes West Grocery Store in Jefferson City, MO, where he bought Green Lantern Special #2 because it had the most pages. He spent a lot of time browsing comics at the grocery store before exploring local comic book and collectibles stores. Initially, he visited Pohlman's Too, a store which focused on both comics and sports cards and collectibles, and later discovered the far more comic-centric, The Antiquarium. In 1991, one of his best friends introduced him to Dungeons & Dragons, which became an even more exciting game than HeroQuest. Scott played with friends and classmates, eventually becoming a Forever DM. In 1994, while looking in the toy aisle, he stumbled upon a Magic: The Gathering revised starter deck rulebook. He moved to St. Charles for school and found a job in the comic, game, and hobby retail industry. Scott takes great pride in being a part of that community for over 20 years and was thrilled when the opportunity to become the manager of Endless Comics, Games & Cards presented itself. Fate brought him and his partner, McKenzie, together when they both joined a Pathfinder game run by a mutual friend. In 2022, they joyfully welcomed their first son, Hawthorne, into the world. They hope that one day Hawthorne will make his first nerd purchases—comic books, dice, and booster packs of Magic: The Gathering—from Endless Comics, Games & Cards.
